First of all I just want to say:   that not everyone goes to Holiday Parties every night during the month of December!!!   Some people actually stay home, and would like something halfway decent to watch on TV!!!  But now, I find out that all the good shows are “on vacation” until the holidays are over???  It was just a couple of weeks ago that I had so many recorded shows to watch, I thought I would never catch up!!   But guess what?   Not only are we all caught up, but now there aren’t any new shows to record!!  We always had a show to watch without commercials, while more were recording!!   I know, I know — sometimes we would forget to fast forward the commercials, but at least we could when we remembered!! LOL      But now, all our shows are on hold until after the Holidays???  That’s just wrong!!   I can’t even fathom!!

Yesterday I was looking for some other options to record and I came across a show on TBS at 10:00 p.m. called Lopez Tonight.    First I thought it was a show about Jennifer Lopez (I like J-Lo), but then I  remembered hearing something about George Lopez having a night talk show, so I recorded it!  I always did like George Lopez too!    This morning  I watched it , AND — I think I like it!!!  Really, I thought it was much better than  Leno,  Cohnan, or even Letterman!  Yeah, yeah, there were a few things on those shows that were funny, but mostly—NOT.   But Lopez Tonight?  What a hoot !!!   He is more like just a real person, who is not always politically correct!!  

Today I recorded the series!    At least I will have something to watch when there is nothing else on the TV this holiday season!!!    Of course, usually when I find a show that I like, it seems to disappear after 1 season–like  “Kath and Kim”!  LOL   

I do hope that there are other people that find this show entertaining.   Maybe it will stick around for a while—or better yet—get promoted to a real channel!!   Give it a try!

Dear Subway,

 OMG—I saw a commercial for your subs tonight and I wanted to run right out and get one—and I had just finished dinner!!!  They looked AWESOME!!  They were plumped high with meat and fixing’s and my favorite—tuna!!  

 BUT THEN I REMEMBERED WHAT THEY ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE!!  The last time I was at Subway, I thought to myself:  these sandwiches just keep on getting smaller!!  But on the up side, I do believe the calories are shrinking right along with the size!!  It wouldn’t even be bad if the bread shrunk proportionately with the filling, because really, I have to take ½ of the bun off the sandwich, just so I can taste the inners!! 

 Don’t get me wrong; I am all about down sizing and cutting calories, but really—the commercial??  It is soooo—FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!  I’m just sayin’

 SHAME ON YOU!!

I get headaches.  Daily headaches.  I can’t remember the last day I didn’t have a headache.  Oh wait, I think it was ALL THE TIME WE WERE IN FLORIDA!  It must be the sea air or maybe it’s just being on vacation and not having to deal with daily stress!  In fact, after my “Jersey Girls” night, I did take one preventative headache pill before I went to bed, but I woke up in the morning feeling good—I mean really good!!  I was totally shocked too!!  You know how it is when you stay out late, drinking and dancing and closing the  bar??  You just know that you will pay for the “good time” in the morning!!!  But not this time!!  When I woke up, I layed in bed for a while before getting up.  (I had to evaluate the situation!!)   Of course I had my headache pills and bottle of water on the nightstand so I could immediately take one before my feet touched the ground.  But not that morning!!  I just woke up hungry–even though J and I polished off the left over hot wings before we went to bed! 

Anyway, back to the headaches.  When I am not in Florida, as I said, I get headaches everyday.  Some days they are not bad enough to take anything, but most of the time I take a prescribed pill that works wonders!  Every once in a while I get a migraine headache.   But I am not kidding you when I say ”these are miracle pills!!”   When I am in the migraine mode, it could last for an hour or days!   The crazy part is that I usually get them in the middle of the night.  I will go to bed feeling OK, and then at 1 or 2 in the morning I will wake up from the pain.  And I just know it’s a migraine, which is totally different from a “tension” headache, or an “arthritis in the neck” headache (which I get a lot of when I am doing ceiling work), or a  “too much tequila” headache!!  LOL 

Thursday I was working.  As I was priming the walls I was having a conversation with my customer.  We were actually talking about headaches.  Nancy also suffers from migraines, so we were comparing our drugs and their side effects.   But as we were talking, it dawned on me that I have’nt had a migraine in a really long time!!

So, what do you think comes next?  Yup, last night I got one.   I woke up at 1:22 a.m. in horrible pain.  Luckily I have learned to keep my pills close by!  Do you think I jinked myself  by talking about it?  If I wouldn’t have talked about it, I wouldn’t have thought about how long it has been since I had a bad one, and maybe I wouldn’t have gotten this one!!  I’m just glad that it was only about an hour before the meds kicked in!!  Maybe next time I should talk to my customers about something good, like winning the lottery !!             I’m just sayin’!!

 . . .  I am pretty much sooooo over writing this daily blog!! 

#1  My day-to-day activities are really not that exciting—at all! 

# 2  It is hard to find time during the day to sit down and write something creative, especially when I know I have 10 other things that I should be doing!!!

# 3  If I wait until after my hectic day is over, well then  we have already had cocktail hour, and then while I’m trying to think of something clever to write, my eyes close before the brain clicks in!!

#4  We really didn’t watch a whole lot of TV when we were in Florida, so we have so many of our shows to catch up on, and if I am watching, I am not writing, and when I am writing — I have no idea what is happening in my show! 

So, in other words, I will faithfully read Sara’s daily November blog, and I will actually really appreciate the commitment she has made to it, but me?  I gave it a shot, but it just isn’t working any more.  Besides, as soon as I finish writing this I can go play with my G-son Michael, and that just is so much more fun than trying to think of something really profound to talk about.  But thanks to my peeps who have been reading every day, even when my blogs were boring!!   And I will try to write more often than I was, but maybe not every day!  I’m just sayin’

I have been waiting all day for something really fun and blog worthy to happen today.  But now that we are home from vacation—it is back to the day to day routine!!   Up at  5:15, oatmeal with strawberries and craisins   for breakfast followed by whatever the day plan is.  Of course today, after the hectic work day, J and I went over to visit Sara and Michael over at the in-laws house.  OMG, I don’t remember any of my kids having as much energy as  Michael!!!  All during cocktail hour I had to run circles around the odemen until I got totally dizzy.  As soon as I sat down to rest, Michael would say:  “Oma–Run!!!”  So I would get up and start running circles again and again and again!!!    Finally it was time for  dinner!   TG!!  And before I ran around   with him it was Papa, and before that it was Papa D!!!  Where does he get all that energy! 

Now as I sit here waiting for Angela to get here from MN, and it is already bedtime , I am thinking that even though Michael is not here, I should run around the table!  It might just keep me awake a bit longer!  Of course when Angela  gets here I will be wide awake again, at least for  10 minutes!!!

After spending an hour trying to write a blog, and falling asleep between every other word I would type, I finally decided to put that one on hold and just give up!  But since I really am trying to do this everyday for a month thing , I had to post something, so—-this is it!  This is all I have  for today.  SORRY!!!!  Maybe tomorrow I can do better — or Not!   But at least I posted today.  Good Night!!!!

. . . Was today!!!  I would tell you all about our great night with Pa last night, but wow, it was a long day today!!!   It was a good day. . .  but long!!

We finally went to bed last night, or should I say this morning, close to 1 a.m.!   Ordinarily that is not horrible, if you can sleep in, but we had to get up at 3:30 a.m.!!  And in that 2 1/2 hours of sleep, I think I woke up 3 times!!  By the time we actually got home, it was noon.  J and I ate  our lunch and after that, it was all about dozing!!!  Write an e mail—fall asleep—send a text—snore a bit—answer the phone—curl up on the couch!!!  This has been the longest day ever—except for the last couple of hours!!!

At 7ish J and I picked up Sara, James and my little Michael, from the airport.  Florida was wonderful, but the best feeling in the world was when Michael saw me, and came running to me–giggling and calling ” Oma” !!!  I can’t even describe the awesome feeling!!!  That’s what I’m talking about baby!

That was 7 and now it is almost 10.   Where has the last 3 hours gone!!  I can’t wait till tomorrow!  But for now  ,   it is time to crawl  into my very own bed.  I suspect that I will not wake until the alarm goes off!!!  Good Night all.

Well, we are all packed up and ready to move on down the road!!  Goin’ to “Pa’s” house in Kissimmee for the night.   Everything is packed, everything is done that needs doing, and we are just waiting for the towels to finish drying and out the door we go!  Oh, I think I hear the buzzer now!! 

But this is not a bad thing, Oh No!!!  Now we spend a fun evening at the Irish pub in Kiss. and tomorrow, Sara’s family will be home.  James can only stay for 2 days, but Sara and Michael will be here until Tuesday!!!  And as a bonus to the bonus—Angela will be coming home on Friday for the weekend!!  Life is definitely wonderful!! 

Maybe I can tell you all about the pub tomorrow!

Coconuts on the Beach - 4 times this trip!!  I would say this is our #1 favorite spot!! Good food, good friends, and a view that can’t be beat!   Our favorite bartender was there every time we went!!  Today Susan even bought me a Patron!  Thank you Susan–we will see you in April

Rum Runners – I think we actually went to RR everyday!! This place just gets better every time we come to Florida!  And we always seem to have our wildest night here!!  This time it was with all my new  friends!!  And I am so proud to be an honorary Jersey Girl!!  Fun, Fun, Fun!!!  But besides the JG night, my main man and I had many other great times there!  Old friends, new friends, cocktails, pool and each other!  What more could you ask for!  We will miss you RR!!

Yen Yens – We always go to Yen Yen’s but only once!   The food is fantastic, and it is always great to re-connect with our friend Jackson.  I actually tried a new dish this time!!!  Jackson suggested it, and I am  glad that I took his advice!!  Yummers!!  J even thought that it  was BETTER than HIS usual fav meal!!

Grills - They have the very best Mahi Reuben sandwich!!!    Also,  we usually do a little dancing at the Tiki Bar!!  The live entertainment is not always the best, but at the very least, it gets my  hips swaying and my toes tapping!!   

Juice and Java - has become our favorite breakfast spot.  We love their bagel sandwiches!!  I just wish that their coffee wasn’t so strong!

Barrier Jacks - Good coffee, and the food ain’t bad either!!

There were a few other places, but these are the fav!   Hmmmmm, did you notice that all of our “Must Do” list involves eating and drinking??  Maybe I better add “The Beach” to our list.  Of course with all that eating and drinking—lots of walking IS a high priority!!  I’m Just Sayin’

Did I mention that when we were at the Art Fair I bought myself a pair of Sea Glass earings???   They’re “buck”— just the prettiest shade of green!!!   Jerry asked if I had anything to wear with them last night when we went out.   I said:  Of course I do—I have a green bra!!

I thought it matched great!!!
