Maybe you have noticed that it is the 9th of January, and I still haven’t posted a blog since last year! It is not that I haven’t wanted too, or haven’t tried!! I actually started several different times, but I always stopped short of completion, for one reason or another! I would file it away and hope to get back to it at a later time, which never happened!!! But today, I decided it was the perfect time to finish up the last blog that I had started! And I did it!! I swear to God: this was really a good one too! Actually, it made me LOL!
I was all ready to post it, but I had this bad feeling – - – that if I would hit the Publish button, the blog would go back to the unfinished version or it would vanish!! So just to be on the safe side, I decided to copy it. That way if I lost it, like I have so many times in the past, I would at least have a back up!! Doesn’t that sound like a great idea?????? Well, I highlighted everything and then I went to save it, and the whole freakin’ thing disappeared!!!
I worked so hard to get it perfect, and it was!!! I tried to write it again but my words and thoughts are all scrambled! It’s gone!! It’s dancing in cyber-heaven where all my other accidentally deleted blogs have disappeared to!!!! And it was such a good one!! I hate when that keeps happening to me!!

It’s time you learned the secret to disappearing text: ctrl+z. Meaning, hold the “ctrl” button and hit the letter “z.” That’s the editing shortcut for “Undo! Undo! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY UNDO!!!!!”
I love ctrl+z. It has saved me from this same fate more times than I can remember.

Also, to keep it from reverting to an older saved draft, just hit the “save draft” button over on the right side near the publish button once just before you publish. Then it shouldn’t do that either.

Really, I think some times it just isn’t my fault!! you had told me about the save thing the last time it reverted back to the unedited, so I made sure that I pushed the save button and then the publish and it still published my original bad one!!! I swear!!! So that is why I was going to be good this time and copy it to somewhere else and then save it and then publish it!!! But Now I know about the Z thing, but does that work if instead of copying it just left a c in place of the old blog? I am thinking that I might have let go of the ctrl button before I let go of the c! And I’ll probably never write a blog that good again!!! (That is me pouting!!!!) LOL
